ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Dr. Preeti Jha but most people just call me Dr. P.

I'm a Doctor of Physical Therapy with over 20 years of experience helping people move without pain, fear, or limitation and the founder of Move Strong Physical Therapy.

For two decades, I've worked at the intersection of two worlds that are usually kept separate: clinical physical therapy and strength training. Most people are told to pick a lane, go to PT to "get fixed," then go somewhere else entirely to actually get strong. I built my practice because I believe those two things were never meant to be separate. Real, lasting recovery doesn't stop at "pain-free." It continues until you're strong, confident, and fully back in your life.

Who I Work With

My clients aren't one type of person and that's the point. I work with men and women across every stage of life and every kind of challenge:

  • Orthopedic — post-surgical recovery, joint pain, sports injuries, chronic pain patterns

  • Neurologic — balance disorders, coordination challenges, movement retraining after neurologic conditions

  • Pelvic floor — core and pelvic floor dysfunction, postpartum recovery, and the often-overlooked connection between pelvic health and whole-body strength

Whether you're recovering from surgery, relearning how to move after a neurologic diagnosis, rebuilding your core after childbirth, or simply tired of starting over with every new ache, you belong here.

My Approach

I'm a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy (OCS), an advanced certification through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties that reflects specialized training in evaluating and treating complex movement and orthopedic conditions. But credentials are just the foundation. What actually shapes how I work with people is this:

1. Your body is one connected system. I don't just treat the spot that hurts. A knee issue might trace back to the hip. A pelvic floor issue might trace back to breathing and alignment. I look at the whole picture, every time.

2. Recovery doesn't end at "better." Getting out of pain is the beginning, not the finish line. My goal for every client is return to function — getting back to the stairs, the sport, the floor, the grandkids, the life you actually want to live, not just a pain-free scale rating.

3. Care is personal, not protocol. Every plan I build is 1:1 and specific to you — your history, your goals, your body. No templates, no generic programs.

4. Strength is a longevity strategy. I think about movement not just for today, but for the decades ahead. As a longevity mentor, I coach the long game — building strength, resilience, and confidence that protect you well into the future.

A Little More About Me

Outside the clinic, I'm a Yoga and Breath-work instructor, a national speaker on integrated approaches to health, and a devoted latte lover who believes recovery should feel human, not clinical. I've spent my career learning that the best outcomes happen when clinical expertise meets genuine care for the person in front of me.

Let's Move Forward, Together
